I love public speaking and had a "signature talk" but don't seem to get any more requests, so I'm current re-tooling my talk to be more focused on my market's needs. I was a little too detailed (giving steps to do "X" instead of "here's what X (video) can do for you."

Still loving your email marketing ebook you sold/gave away over the summer. It's definitely something one has to find the section that applies to one's specific need. It's so jam-packed. I noticed you're doing your webinar series (I think it was...) on that coming up. I hope I can attend.

It is my best source of clients after personal referrals, and the numbers are very close. I think it's as Jennifer said, that when you speak people have a chance to feel you out--see if they like your message, your style, your personality, your energy. And if they do, you've just maximized your time, because you're connecting with dozens or even hundreds of people at once.
