Over the last few days, we’ve received a number of questions about the new membership program at the Academy. We’re addressing some of the most common questions on this page.

How long do I have access to the International Freelancers Day Conference videos and the 5 teleseminars?

As long as you’re an Academy member, access to these videos and teleseminars doesn’t expire. The only thing that expires is your ability to “lock in” these bonuses, which ends at 11:59 pm Eastern Time on Tuesday, February 15.

Why the February 15 deadline?

Because Saturn and Mars will be perfectly aligned that evening.

Actually, we believe in rewarding fast action. So those of you who sign up by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on February 15 will get access to some of our best stuff... PLUS 24 presentations from the historic International Freelancers Day Conference last September (which have been in the “vault” since last October and no one else has access to!).

What are these 5 teleseminars about? Are they worth listening to?

Absolutely! These teleseminars represent some of our best educational materials. Each sells for $49+ all day long. But we’re making them available to those of you who take fast action on this opportunity.

I don’t know if I want to be locked into a monthly program. Can I get out of it at any time if I’m not happy?

Absolutely. Here’s how the program works...

If you’re a monthly member, you have 30 days to check it out and decide if you want to stay on board. If you decide this is not for you, just let us know within those first 30 days. We’ll promptly refund your purchase. No hard feelings.

After the first 30 days, you can also choose to leave the membership program at any time by clicking the “Cancel” link in your account area, and you won’t be billed again. Your membership will end at the end of your billing period.

So, for example, if you originally signed up on February 12, and on July 28 you decided to cancel, you’ll still have full access to the program until August 11 (the last day of your billing period). Your July 12th payment will have been your last, and you won’t get charged again.

If you’re an annual member, you also have 30 days to check it out and decide if you want to stay on board. If you decide this is not for you, just let us know within those first 30 days. We’ll promptly refund your purchase. No hard feelings.

After the first 30 days, you can also choose to leave the membership program at any time by clicking the “Cancel” link in your account area, and you won’t be billed again for the next year. Your membership will end at the end of your billing period, which is one year from your registration date.

Why are you now charging money for your information?

Our weekly training episodes will remain free AND will continue to offer proven high-quality ideas, tips and strategies. That won’t change.

However, many of you have expressed interest in more in-depth training. More proven step-by-step systems. More ideas. A chance to ask questions and get detailed, personalized answers—from us and from other successful solo professionals.

Many of you also realize that there’s great value in getting that level of training. Especially when it comes from others who have built and grown successful solo businesses. And because of that, you’re willing to make the necessary investment—an investment that will yield great dividends if you apply the information.

No businessperson can sustain a high level of success without investing in his or her business. Solo professionals are no exception. You’re still a business—a business of one. And the IFA membership program is a great way to get a steady dose of more in-depth training every month for a very reasonable fee.

Will you continue to publish free training episodes?

Again, the free weekly training is not going to stop. Every week, members and non-members alike will have access to two new training episodes, which will be live for a full seven days... completely free. After that, they’ll be taken down.

However, members at all levels (Basic, Silver, Gold) will have continued access to these weekly episodes and the full training episode archive, along with full, word-for-word transcripts and audio versions (to take with them on their iPod, iPhone, MP3 player, phone or other mobile device).

Do you accept PayPal?

Yes. On the checkout page, you'll see a PayPal button towards the bottom of the page. Simply click on the PayPal button and you’ll be taken to a PayPal checkout page. Your PayPal account will be billed monthly or annually, depending on the membership level you choose.

(Note: If you use PayPal, membership fees will show up on your PayPal as coming from one of the following: IFA Academy, Freelance Academy, or Gandia Communications, Inc. It depends on how PayPal is set up on your end.)

Of course, we also accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

When is the first monthly teleseminar?

The first monthly teleseminar is scheduled for February 28 at 2:00 pm Eastern Time (7:00 pm GMT). All Silver and Gold members have access to this event and to all teleseminars we do. Members will soon receive an email with the teleseminar’s title and dial-in instructions.

If you can’t attend live, don’t worry. Here again, all Silver and Gold members will get access to the audio replay, a word-for-word transcript and action worksheets (if applicable).

When is the first monthly Q&A call?

The first monthly Q&A call is scheduled for February 28 at 3:00 pm Eastern Time (8:00 pm GMT). All Gold members have access to this call and to all Q&A calls we do. If you’re a Gold member, you’ll soon an email with the dial-in instructions, as well as a private email address you can use to submit your questions for the call.

What are the Q&A calls about?

The Q&A calls are ideal for those who are looking for a little more customized information. They’re a great sounding board and a good place t turn to for specific questions about a specific situation or challenge you may be facing.

As a Gold member, you’re are invited to attend one live Q&A call every month where you can ask Pete, Ed (and occasionally a special guest) specific questions about a challenge, dilemma or opportunity you may be facing. You’ll have a chance to submit as many questions as you’d like to a private email address. During the call, you’ll get detailed and personalized answers to those questions.

ALL questions submitted each month are answered in the Q&A call, regardless of how many come in. Also, every Q&A calls is recorded and archived. So if you can’t make one, you can always access it later, at your convenience.

What does each membership level get you?

I wish I had an extra $29 a month to spend. Will this price go down at some point?

We can appreciate that. However, we have no plans on lowering these pricing levels. The benefits delivered at each level are already heavily discounted. If anything, these fees will go up over time as we add more benefits.

However... when you sign up, you lock in the current rate. So as long as you stay current, your monthly membership fee will NOT go up, even when they do rise in the future for new members.

If money is an issue, we do have an option you may want to consider: Basic membership for $9 a month.

Basic membership gives you access to our full weekly episode library PLUS full audio and transcript for every video episode. Which means no more rushing to try and watch or read the material before it’s taken down. And no more “video-only” options. You now have access to both audio and text. Which means you can take the material with you wherever you go. On your iPod, iPad, smart phone or MP3 player. Or you can print the transcripts and read them at your leisure.

Even though Basic does not include the monthly teleseminars, premium content or Q&A calls, here’s what we love about Basic: over time, your Basic library becomes an invaluable resource of actionable solo business strategies and ideas. It’s a great place to go to for advice on pressing problems or areas you need help with. Truly a great value at 9 bucks a month!
